Roberta Connelly, MS, ELS
Roberta has over 10 years of experience writing clinical communications for biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. She writes a broad array of regulatory documents and also assists authors in developing clinical publications.
Before transitioning to freelance medical writing, Roberta worked primarily in basic research and medical device product development. She has a BS in Microbiology and Immunology and an MS in Pathobiology. In her daily work she relies on her strong scientific background and skills in data analysis.
Roberta enjoys the challenge of synthesizing massive amounts of clinical data into relatively concise reports, as well as participating in efforts to ensure the integrity of clinical data prior to finalization of statistical output.
To enhance her writing and communications skills, Roberta earned a certificate in technical writing and editing and a multidisciplinary certificate (pharmaceutical/research) from the American Medical Writers Association (AMWA). Roberta is currently enrolled in the AMWA advanced certificate program and is certified as an Editor in the Life Sciences (ELS), awarded by the Board of Editors in the Life Sciences (BELS).
